“Breakfast With Santa” will be at two times on Saturday, Dec. 3, at 8 a.m. or 10 a.m. at Premiere Event & Conference Center which is at 115 West 1st Street in downtown DeRidder. The event is being held by the First United Methodist Church of DeRidder. There is free admission with a ticket, however, tickets are limited. The Miracle on Washington Street Christmas Festival will bring Christmas magic to historic downtown DeRidder on Saturday, Dec. 3. The fun happens on Washington St. and places nearby. A 5K “Reindeer Run” starts out the day at 7 a.m. Vendors open at 9 a.m. Start your Christmas shopping with a wide array of crafts, food items, fashion, jewelry, decor and much more. Throughout the day, there is a full slate of events and something for everyone. There will be live music, contests, games, live performances, an appearance by Santa, Disney characters, “Cookies with Grandma,” carriage rides, a “Cindy Lou Who” hair salon, face painting and more. The lighted parade ends the day’s festivities and starts at dusk. Lineup begins at 4 p.m. For questions about the day’s events, contact the Greater Beauregard Chamber of Commerce at 337-463-5533.

The DeRidder Lions Club will provide free vision screenings for children at the Beauregard Museum from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3. This is during the Miracle on Washington Street Christmas Festival. A parent/guardian must be present.

The lighted Miracle on Washington Street Christmas Parade will be Saturday, Dec. 3 with lineup beginning at 4 p.m. at the fairgrounds. The theme is “Christmas Movie Magic.” Call the Greater Beauregard Chamber of Commerce at 337-463-5533 to register to participate. The parade route will begin at the fairgrounds, going past Steamboat Bills, turning right onto Pine Street, left onto 1st Street and then right onto Washington Ave. The parade ends at the Volleyball Courts on S. Washington Ave.

The DeRidder Christmas Light Show will be Dec. 1 through Jan. 1, from 5:30 p.m. to Midnight, in downtown DeRidder near City Hall. Tune in to FM 101.1 upon arrival. The nightly show is weather-permitting. This is free and for the whole family!
