In recent weeks, SOWELA Technical Community College’s Carpentry Department has been rebuilding/restoring our original depot wagon/freight cart at the school’s Leesville campus.
Students are accomplishing this under the direction of Mr. Bobby Bordelon, Carpentry Instructor.
Sowela students have taken on many historical projects in our area over the years — learning and practicing their skills while also helping the community.
We can’t wait to see — and show — the finished project later this Fall. Look for it at the Beauregard Museum.
