According to Beauregard Parish Police Jury President, Rusty  Williamson, there is a strong recommendation for residents living along  the Sabine River to evacuate those areas.

 The town of Merryville  is operating a shelter at the Merryville First Baptist Church Family  Life Center, located at 2010 Bryan Street, for residents along the  Sabine River and the town of Merryville.

 There have been no Mandatory Evacuation Orders issued for any areas within Beauregard Parish, including the town of Merryville.

 The Beauregard Parish Sheriff’s Office, along with the Beauregard  Parish Police Jury, the town of Merryville, as well as the City of  DeRidder, would like to advise the residents of Beauregard Parish to  please obtain information related to the emergency response from  government sources, such as governmental Facebook pages or websites.   Please do not rely on information that is posted on individual pages or  pages created by non-governmental entities.
