Scanning Saturday is Feb. 11 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Beauregard Museum, 120 South Washington Street, downtown DeRidder. 

The museum is looking for your old photos of Beauregard Parish. The museum has been building its historical database and archives with photos to round out local history. What they are looking for: Old photos from local families; images from the parish’s timber and sawmill industries; ones depicting DeRidder and communities including Singer, Longville, Merryville, Dry Creek and Sugartown; old school memories; photos from Beauregard Parish events through the decades; and more. 

You can bring them in, look around while you wait for the museum to scan a digital copy. Help the museum preserve Beauregard’s history for our future!
