The community is invited to get into the Christmas spirit a little early and help raise funds to make seasons bright for area little ones.
The “12 Days of Christmas” benefit auction and dinner will raise funds to purchase gifts for the West Louisiana 2022 Toys for Tots Campaign, which serves Allen, Beauregard and Vernon parishes.
The DeRidder Police Department, Beauregard Parish Sheriff’s Office, DeRidder Fire Department, Benoit Ford and Toys for Tots have combined efforts for the “Beauregard Community Christmas Toy Drive.”
The benefit auction and dinner, set from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12 at Celebrations in Leesville (108 N. 3rd St.), is aimed at giving the effort a healthy start.
Tickets can be purchased at this link: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/12-days-of-christmas-benefit-auction-dinner-tickets-445515327337
Cost is $30 for an individual; $50 per couple; and $500 for a premium themed table of eight. There are also special event cup/add-ons available.
The event, and tables, are themed after the Classic Christmas carol, “12 Days of Christmas.”
Social hour is from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., and the auction begins at 7:30 p.m.
Gumbo and refreshments will be served.
There will be a professional auctioneer — as well as small and large auction items, something for everyone. Auction items can also be donated.
Applications for assistance are already being accepted for the Beauregard Community Christmas Toy Drive. The deadline to apply is Dec. 5.
The online application can be found at http://westla.toysfortots.org.
