The DeRidder Police Department’s patrol division is the backbone of the organization. The division consists of four patrol shifts under the supervision of one Patrol Commander and four shift sergeants. In addition, the DeRidder Police Reserves augment the full time staff to provide a maximum amount of police presence for the city. These shifts operate on a 24/7 basis and are dispatched through the communications division and E-911. Citizens who need to file a complaint or report may do so by calling 337-462-8911, through an office visit, or in the case of an emergency, call 911. We are here to serve the community with pride and integrity at the highest level of professional standards.
For information or concerns, contact Lieutenant John Davidson, Patrol Commander, at 337-462-8911.
The DeRidder Police Department strives to offer the best possible security for its citizens and their property. One security measure offered to the citizens is through a residential patrol request and is utilized for those who may be on an extended leave from their home or for other circumstances.
