Employment Information

The DeRidder Fire Department is governed by the Municipal Fire and Police Civil Service as it relates to employment.  

At minimum, you will need to meet the following requirements:

  1. At least be 18 years of age.
  2. Have a High School Diploma or GED.
  3. Pass a Municipal Civil Service Test.
  4. Pass a Drug Screen and Background Check
  5. Pass a Physical Fitness Test
